    This client is a leading global surface treatment and technical service conglomerate with three manufacturing companies and several affiliated companies in China. With comprehensive surface treatment capabilities, they offer gold, silver, copper, nickel, tin, reflow tinning, powder coating, and chemical conversion coatings on various substrates. They are committed to expanding their surface treatment business and developing surface treatment technologies for the communications, automotive, electronics, and computer 4C industries. They have become an influential surface treatment supplier to these industries, including those for new energy electric vehicles.

    Customer Pain Points and Needs:

    1) Raw material quality traceability is difficult, making it difficult to pinpoint the source of problems. This requires full-process raw material quality traceability management.

    2) Production progress tracking is lagging, and product process identification is unclear. This requires real-time monitoring of production progress.

    2.Quality traceability system project objectives

    The implementation scope of this project is to build a quality traceability system for the customer's production process. The system is based on real-time data collection at the production site and combined with the application of mobile devices such as PDAs to achieve full-process monitoring and traceability of product quality from raw materials to finished products. The system functions include data collection, process monitoring, batch tracking, traceability query, record management and statistical analysis, etc., which effectively connects personnel operation, equipment operation, material flow, workpiece processing and information at each link, helping end users to achieve real-time monitoring and full-process traceability of product quality, ensuring production transparency and continuous improvement of product quality.

    3.1 Management of In-Process Data Collection

    The SIGER Quality Traceability System's in-process data collection and management utilizes MDC data collection services in conjunction with middle-tier application services, enabling comprehensive collection and management of key data from the production process. The system encompasses diverse data sources, including measuring tools, NC equipment, and PLCs, enabling real-time acquisition and storage of production parameters and quality information at all stages. Furthermore, seamless integration with databases and the use of mobile devices for process data collection ensure data accuracy and traceability, providing enterprises with efficient quality monitoring and analysis tools. 


    3.2 Quality Traceability Management Application Example

    The SIGER Material Traceability System (MTS) uses QR codes to systematically collect and link a large amount of discrete information related to people, machines, materials, methods, and processes during the production process. Functional modules include label management, transit management, quality inspection, rework and scrap, and traceability statistics. This helps companies manage production processes, prevent missed production and process skipping, and automatically generates various analytical reports, reducing statistical workload and improving production traceability efficiency by 90% and data statistics efficiency by 95%.


    3.3 Mobile Application Examples

    The SIGER quality traceability system's mobile application covers the entire process, from equipment scanning, material loading and reporting, to data submission. Using mobile devices such as PDAs, QR codes are scanned to identify equipment and material information, and material loading and data entry are completed through the mobile interface. The system then automatically processes this data, supporting material basket selection and record query by the reporting worker.
