Release Backgroundund

To enhance the security and operational efficiency of the tool monitoring system, the SIGER Data product team has implemented this version upgrade. This upgrade adds a new feature called "disable configuration of unmonitored items" to prevent misoperation; optimizes alarm logging, allowing one-click location of limit violations for traceability; and adds a customizable screen lock password for enhanced access security. This upgrade strengthens security controls, simplifies analysis processes, and enhances convenience, helping companies mitigate potential risks and improve response times.

Monitoring schematic diagram

The Tooling Monitoring System (TMS) is a cutting-edge solution designed to monitor and manage tool conditions during precision machining processes. By collecting data through edge sensors and analyzing it with intelligent algorithms, TMS enables real-time monitoring of tool status, intelligent diagnosis of tool breakage and chipping, and automatic shutdown control. This system truly achieves predictive tool life management, helping businesses handle tool changes with ease and avoid equipment damage or product quality losses caused by tool failures.

Update function points

3.1 "Unmonitored Type Disable" function added

To reduce the risk of misoperation, we've optimized the monitoring list with a new "Disable Configuration for Unmonitored Types" feature. This feature automatically grays out and disables configuration icons for unmonitored items based on their alarm status, helping enterprises manage alarm configurations more securely and efficiently.

3.2 Optimized "Alarm Record" Function

In order to quickly locate the source of the alarm, the alarm record is optimized and an alarm location button is added to quickly locate the first over-limit point and then switch to the next over-limit area, helping enterprises to quickly trace the fault.

3.3 "Keep the last filter result" function added

To meet diverse security needs, we've optimized the screen lock feature to include a custom password feature. Users can choose dynamic or custom passwords, helping businesses improve device access convenience and security.

SIGER Data’s Tool Monitoring System (TMS) is a tailor-made software solution for the precision machining industry, addressing critical challenges in tool usage. By collecting 30+ dimensions of data signals (e.g., spindle current/load) and leveraging self-learning algorithms combined with years of industry expertise, TMS accurately monitors tool wear, breakage, and chipping. It automatically triggers alarms and shutdowns to prevent batch scrapping caused by tool failures, effectively increasing tool life by over 30%!

Scope of adaptation of SIGER Tool Monitoring System:

  • ■  Machine Types: Machining centers, gantry machines, lathes, turn-mill complexes, and more.
  • ■  Processing Techniques: Mass repetitive machining, nested process machining, small-batch machining, non-NC scenarios, and more.
  •   Machining Methods: Turning, milling, drilling, tapping, gear machining, surface machining, and other rough/finish machining scenarios (with a minimum machining allowance of 0.1mm).
